Salty is a documentary filmmaker and camo who specialises in telling stories from the most remote and isolated corners of Australia, often working with local Indigenous groups and rangers who have taught him about bush tucker along the way. Throughout his years on the road, he's developed a love for cooking on an open fire and loves to recreate home style meals at camp using what’s available to him. Salty’s parents were very basic cooks, and it wasn’t until they divorced and both remarried Italians that Salty and his siblings were introduced to dishes beyond meat and three veg! When he’s on the road Salty loves to catch and cook fresh seafood and create delicious main meals on the fire. At home, Salty relishes tackling elaborate, difficult recipes like ramen or elevating humble dishes like tacos.
