Lebanese-Australian Zufi is a self-described ‘cannoli entrepreneur’. He launched his side-hustle business ‘Cannoli Boss’ around two years ago, which is loved by the locals in the south-western Sydney area in which he lives with his family. Zufi started cooking at just six years old alongside his mum and grandmother, with food, family and Lebanese culture as the connector across generations. Food gives Zufi direction. ‘It’s something positive to pour my energy into, and a way to reconnect with myself and others.’ With this in mind, Zufi is also keen on breaking stereotypes about young guys and cooking. Beyond cannoli, Zufi loves modern fusion cooking that blends Lebanese, Italian and Australian influences, reinventing classic dishes and desserts with unexpected flavours.
